The questions we get asked most about our laminated plywood, from lead times and delivery to cores, cutting and samples.
How long does an order take?
Every sheet is pressed to order. Most orders are ready within two weeks of ordering, plus delivery, and you’ll see a current estimate when you order. We usually meet it, but it’s not guaranteed, so please don’t book trades around it.
How much is delivery?
Sheets go on a pallet, and one charge covers your whole order. Enter your postcode at checkout for the exact price. See shipping information.
Can I collect?
Yes, free, by arrangement, from 17 Easternwood Road, Langage Industrial Estate, Plympton, Plymouth PL7 5ET.
Are samples free?
Yes, on every decor, posted free. See free samples.
What size are the sheets?
2440 × 1220mm.
Which cores and thicknesses do you do?
Lightweight poplar ply in 4mm and 13mm, birch ply in 4mm, 15mm and 18mm, and MDF in 15mm and 18mm. The laminate adds about 0.8mm a face. More on lightweight, birch and MDF.
One side or both?
Both faces as standard, because a board laminated on one side tends to bow. 4mm can be laminated on one side for linings fixed flat.
What is HPL?
High pressure laminate: layers of kraft paper and a printed face, fused under heat and pressure into one hard-wearing sheet. We bond it to the core, so your board arrives finished. No sanding, staining or varnishing.
Can you cut it to size?
Yes. Send a cutting list or a DXF. See cut to size.
Do you edge band?
Yes, colour matched, on straight edges up to 50mm thick. Curved parts by arrangement. See edge banding.
Will you cut my own boards?
Yes, we cut customers’ own material too.
Can you match a laminate I already have?
Usually. Use Match My Laminate, or send us the brand and code.
Do prices include VAT?
No. Prices are shown + VAT, and VAT is added at checkout.
