The reason is simple: matte wears better. It does not hold fingerprints the way gloss does, it does not show fine scratches from wiping down, and it looks the same in two years as it does on the day it goes in. On anything that gets handled — cupboard fronts, worktops, van interiors, shop fittings — it is the sensible choice, and it is what nearly every trade customer specifies.
Matte also photographs and reads more evenly under artificial light, which matters in vans and small rooms where the lighting is close to the surface.
The range covers the full spread: plain colours, woodgrains, stone and concrete effects. Formica decors are supplied in standard matte unless you ask for something else.
