Forty-nine whites, and the difference between them is bigger than the name suggests. Formica 2696 Super White and 7459 Brite White are cold and bright. 7949 Soft White and 7932 Antique White carry warmth. 7938 Glacier and 3091 Crystal White sit somewhere between. Put them side by side and they look like different colours.
That is worth knowing before you commit a whole van or kitchen to one. A white that looks clean on a screen can read grey or yellow next to your worktop, your flooring or your daylight. This is the range where free samples earn their keep — order three or four and hold them against the materials you've already got.
Practically: whites are the least forgiving surface we press. Gloss whites in particular show fingerprints, dust and fine scratches in a way a matte grey never will. If the panel is somewhere that gets handled — a door front, a table, anything at hand height — a matte white will look better for longer.
